"Price to quality can be argued but the quality can't. A very fruity, intense and well balanced rum. I like the roasted wood on the profile, nicely balanced without being dominant. ABV is very well integrated."

"This is a very nice Caroni though the rubber note is very light the tar on the other hand is throughout the profile. I like the smoky wood and spices as well as the light fruits. I picked up some chocolate in the empty glass. Overall a well balanced rum with an oily palate. Draws really nice curtains in the glass."

"Au nez, c'est d'abord le TDL qui se montre avec un nez très fruité. Puis une fraîcheur mentholée. Après quoi le bois et des notes plus sombres telles de que le cuir et les épices font leur apparition. On retrouve clairement les deux origines du blend. En bouche, même sensation. Le mariage est vraiment réussi. Les deux rhums s'accordent réellement et se maintiennent tout au long de la dégustation. On a un profil Guyana très boisé, torréfié, sur le cuir qui ne prend pas le pas sur un TDL plus fruité. Le degré d'alcool est bon, à mon sens. Jolie longueur, même si j'en aurais voulu plus encore. Un très joli blend."

"Successful blend - the DOK is of course tamed, but gets a successful counterpoint by the sweet notes of the Spanish style, which unlike the sherry finishes without the heavy fruit notes. Great addition to the high-ester spectrum, little insider tip."

"The proximity between TDL and Caroni was already reported in detail by Steffen's book. Aromatically, I also find HTR-typical notes here and therefore consider a blend of TDL and Caroni likely. I like very well, given the framework data (aging, flavor profile) quite a highlight for me. In direct comparison to other Caronis of the upper category of course somewhat behind."

"Waouw. Bravo M. Ricci. Blend qui frôle l excellence. C est un vrai rhum et non une addition de différents rhum. Une belle unité. Le caramel, le boisé, très gourmand avec un côté vert "dark" qui devient addictif. Une merveille!"

"Un Foursquare classique et chaleureux. Dès le début, la rondeur du nez s'installe sur le caramel beurré sur sa tranche de pain légèrement grillé, accompagné d'un chocolat au lait et de fruits secs confits. La coco grillée est bien présente. Une note de poussière de bois scié comme dans une scierie encore en activité. En bouche, de suite le fût de bourbon développe un beau boisé toasté et caramélisé, de la cannelle, de la vanille aussi et un soupçon de gingembre qui passe par là. On retrouve le lait chocolaté et les fruits secs à l'alcool. C'est gourmand et généreux. Une finale épicée, suivie de senteurs de cuir de fauteuil au coin du feu et de boîte à cigare déjà ouverte. Alcool très bien intégré de bout en bout. Un beau 16 ans d'âge d'un single cask bien ficelé."
