How does this rum taste?
The Gran Torino Demerara Rum is a robust, complex spirit with a deceiving Caroni-like profile. Dominant notes of tar, rubber, and tropical fruits, alongside a Demerara sweetness, make it a delightful surprise. Excellent integration of high ABV, but somewhat short finish.

“What a positive surprise.....So a Diamond I had not yet in the glass! I can only agree with the previous tasters... it comes along like a dirty Caroni... delicate dark fruit notes and burnt demerara sugar is also perceptible!A great rum, especially if you consider the PLV thereby!Today in the RumX calendar, Day20:And again fully fallen into the trap...was sure to have a Caroni in the glass”

“Wow! I would not have expected this, extremely drinkable, complex and delicious. Could easily pass as a 98 Caroni blind, sherry finish brings a nice, creamy sweetness to it without being too dominant. Alcohol is perfectly integrated! Overall, really a very successful rum with an excellent price-performance ratio! Would have really liked to have a bottle here ...”

“RumX Advent 20.12.22Geile blind tasting. Had guessed the Caroni Replica.alcohol very well integrated. From Demerara I taste and smell nothing. Unlike the bottlings of Le Gus't where yet still sweetness and other influences are tasty, I find here full broadside Caroni. Delicious. Otherwise, you spend several hundred for something like this.”
