Nobilis Uitvlugt (Port Mourant) No. 13 PM 1995 26yr 52,6%
Introducing the No. 13 PM, a distinct rum produced in Guyana at the Uitvlugt (Port Mourant) distillery, selected and bottled by independent bottler Nobilis Rum. This rare expression, distilled in 1995 from Molasses with a Pot Still, boasts a 26-year maturation and a cask strength of 52.6% ABV, with only 169 bottles available. With the enticing aroma of vanilla, anise, barrel, honey, and glue, drinkers can anticipate a palate featuring anise, herbal, dry, woody, and bitter flavors. According to community members, this is one of the best 90s Port Mourant rums they have tasted, appreciating its dark, heavy and slightly bitter character, and its refreshing touch of bitterness. Although slightly bitter and with a hint of mortar taste for some palates, other users found the woody and smoky aspects of the rum appealing, offering a complex, delicious, and full-bodied experience. While perceived as not overly complex, this limited release rum is an excellent choice for fans of strong and powerful Port Mourant profiles.

“Nose enticing (mango), palate relatively bitter, you could also say expressive. Update 06/10/2022: What I called "expressive" two months ago, I feel today only as a penetrating mortar taste, even after an hour. Unfortunately, I can no longer find out if it was due to the day, since the sample is empty. But actually, I also do not want to try the rum again. 🥴 So after the day before yesterday at Bellamy's REV 1994 27yo today again deduction of official 4 points 🤷♂️. But nothing is set in stone, not even in the rum world. Cheers! 🥃”

“Second tasting: remarkably intense on the nose and palate. On the palate I also find a nice malty sweetness, rating 3This rum has a pronounced bitterness on the palate and in the aftertaste. Along with that comes black tea and dark chocolate (with at least 85% cacao). Not so easily accessible but still very good and powerful Port Mourant profile.”
