Introducing "The Real McCoy 3 Years," a rum produced in Barbados at the renowned Foursquare distillery. Distilled from molasses using a combination of Pot and Column Still, this rum is aged for 3 years and has an ABV of 40%. Our RumX community members found the aroma to be dominated by banana, glue, sugarcane, melon, and vanilla notes, while the flavor profile showcased banana, volatile, alcoholic, apple, and melon notes. Users generally agree that this rum is a versatile option, suitable for both sipping and mixing, with a fruity taste and a surprising complexity for its price point. The aftertaste, however, can be a bit harsh for some. Overall, this is a great value-for-money rum to explore.

“Retasting this rum 😊 This rum can actually be used as a sipper but I think most will use it in mixers. It will probably be used by most for a drink or punch. But it's also a really good sipping rum. Price to quality is very good.”

“Lots of people seem to like this but my immediate reaction was it tasted like “cheap alcohol”. Much more edge than most rums I enjoy. But then I realized maybe it’s not a style I’m used to so I kept tasting. I started to recognize its flavor as musty and woody, which may be a taste I could acquire with more tastings. I think “musty old house” when I think of this rum. I get no funk or fruit, which I normally associate with round banana notes.”

“Very interesting rum with a surprising fruitiness and a little funk when considering it is a Barbados rum. You get a lot of flavor compared to the price point but the aftertaste is a little harsh and unpleasant. Definitely not a bad rum at that price”
