Velier Hampden Trelawny Endemic Birds (Sad Flycatcher) LFCH 2011 9yr 60,3%
Introducing the Trelawny Endemic Birds (Sad Flycatcher) LFCH, a uniquely crafted rum originating from Jamaica's Hampden Distillery and selected and bottled by independent bottler Velier. Distilled in 2011 from molasses and aged for 9 years, this limited release of only 221 bottles boasts an ABV of 60.3%. Users have described it as fruity and acidic with a well-integrated alcohol level. The rum offers delightful notes of arrack and smokiness on the nose, while oak, dried fruit, and caramelized elements are prevalent on the palate. Although some found it lacking in complexity with a relatively short finish, it remains a distinct choice for Hampden enthusiasts who enjoy exploring different rums on the market.

“Very fruity and acidic. If you like Hampden, you will also like this one - Although there is better and cheaper options out there. The abv is well integrated, but it's overall missing complexity and the finish is quite short relative to what I expect for a rum with such a price tag as this have”
